I joined Deb's RW/B paper piece swap. I was so very frustrated one evening, I was sure I would not get it, so I put all my fabric away. Deb posted a tutorial of how she paper pieces- and- I did it! my first quad turned out pretty good. Here is a picture of it.
Plus, I recieved the book WNY Deb suggested "Show me how to Paper Piece" by Carol Doak. It is really a great instructional book. The link to the About.com thread is:

I was so thrilled that I actually made the quad and was able to start another. I need to challenge myself more. Since the quilt shop closed, I am going to have to be diligent to stretch...
